Licolnshire Cat Club Show

ATTENTION ALL EXHIBITORS!

14/07/07 We were very proud of Countrygirl ''In The Mood'' today when he gained his Grand Champion title. ''Diablo'' has achieved Grand status in 3 consecutive outings and was also awarded Best of Variety Long-Hair Persian adult at this show!!! Diablo was placed 1st and 3rd in side clases and was awarded the Best of Breed. Thanks go to his judges for their placings and to their stewards for handling him so well... We would also like to congratulate our good friend Jean Stewart of ''Barleyfields Persians'' on gaining Championship status with her black persian boy also at the same show - well done ''Champion Barleyfield's Glamour Puss'' (Danny).

We at Heathrose Persians and Exotics have for a long time had a policy of not entering our Champion cats into open classes etc... We feel that to do so could prevent fellow exhibitors from gaining a title for their beautiful cats. In light of the falling numbers of cats entered into the Persian section at shows, we would ask that other exhibitors follow suit (after all you can only get a title once!!!) We have all been there when we have been 'blocked' from gaining a title by another exhibitor who continuously enters a class where all they have to gain is a pretty rosette and another piece of card. Come on exhibitors have a bit of sportsmanship, cat shows are very expensive to enter and exhibitors are not going to continuously enter shows when they know that a Champion or worse a Grand Champion is going to block them... Respectfully, Ian & Jonathon.

''Our Cats'' 24/08/07

Pictured right: Imperial Gr Ch Rocawen Hanz Off. ''Owen'' is this edition's ''front cover'' cat - many thanks to the our cats team, photographer Alan Robinson and of course Owen's breeder (mum), Carol, who very kindly ''splashed out'' for this major feature and well worth it it was too!!! But this isn't the first time owen has featured in Our Cats... Back in May when he went Overall BIS at the Manchester & District Cat Club, he had his photo taken with ''soap actor'' Malcolm Hebdem (who plays Norris Cole in TV's Coronation Street). (photo to follow...)

Teesside Cat Club Show

25/08/07 Our local show... Making their show debut's today; Heathrose ''Proud Mary'' (Orange Eyed White Exotic Female) and Heathrose ''Requiemforadream'' (Orange Eyed White Longhaired Female). ''Mary'' enjoyed her first outing at the Teesside show where she had a red card day as well as being placed 1st in her open class and awarded the Best of Breed. We have high hopes for Mary who also enjoyed meeting potential future boyfriend Pippakits ''Herbert'' at the show (so much so that she went home with him!!!). Mary now lives with Sheila at ''Pippakits Persians & Exotics'' and we wish them both all the best for the future. Teesside CC show continued >>>>>>>>

''Dream'' as she is more affectionately known as here at home also had a fantastic start to her show career where she was also awarded 1st in her open class and the Best of Breed. Dream was placed 2 x 2nd and 1 x 4th in considerably large side classes. (Dream didn't find love at the show unlike Mary, she came home with us instead, bless...) Grand Champion Countrygirl ''In The Mood'' also had a great day where he was awarded his first Imperial Grand Challenge Certificate and the Best of Breed. ''Diablo'' also faired well in his side classes being placed 2 x 1st and 1 x 2nd. Please note that it was arranged weeks before - hand that Mary would be going to live at ''Pippakits'' with Sheila and would be collected at the Teesside CC Show (and was not a ''whim'' decision on the day).

Heathrose ''Proud Mary''

Northern Counties CC Show

08/09/07 Another local show for us today... Grand Champion ''Countrygirl In The Mood'' did us proud where once again he had a ''red card day'' thanks to his judges and their placings. Diablo was also winner of ''The Darondale Trophy'' (Best of Breed Black Persian Adult). Were very proud of ''Diablo'' who takes it all in his stride at shows. Back out on the show bench - Grand Champion ''Montell To Heathrose'' (Blue Smoke female). Having taken time off the show bench to attend to maternal duties, ''Phoebe'' made an excellent return debut; not quite in full-coat today to warrant being awarded the Imperial Grand Challenge Certificate; nevertheless, Phoebe was awarded the Best of Breed, 1st in her open class and placed 3 x 1st's in her side classes. Thanks also go to Phoebe's judges and to all our stewards on the day.
